18th November 2009
Cigno Consulting would like to thank for participation in Executive Club meeting which took place on 18th November 2009. During this meeting we tried to answer the question "What all the most effective leaders have in common?"
We hope that meeting's topic meet with interest. We also believe, that a mutual exchange of views and conclusions taken out of discussion will be useful in current yours company management.
Mrs. Beata Radomska , Cigno Consulting Chairman described conclusions from workshops with managers which were taken at the turn of the September and the October: leaders are announcing far- reaching visions, ideas and the need of changes. Leaders are set to the development of the enterprise and to his success, they have the high level of social abilities, and people trust them.
A difficult task was creating uniform combination of features, which we always can assign to a perfect leader. It depends mainly on situation and problems which the leader is struggling with.
The speakers emphasized the difference between leader and manager. "The manager say, the leader listen" - these are Professor Blikle words. Professor Blikle described also his opinion about difference between praise and the recognition - "The leader show the recognition, the manager praise". If we are praising somebody, it means that we are putting us higher than him, if we are showing the recognition it means that we are treating employees as a partners.
There have been underlined, that leader will not win without right people. Mr. Józef Wancer mentioned about his manners in which he motivated team to give possibilities from himself to the maximum. Mr. Włodzimierz Kiciński courageously stated that the leader should serve and persons with higher position shouldn't never forgot about it. Everyone agree with the view that the effective control is possible only above a few persons and the confidence in employees is the key to success of the company, presented by Mr. Borys Stokalski from Infovide - Matrix .
